At AMANSH, our commitment to quality, culture, and craftsmanship shines through in every garment we create. A key figure behind this magic is Evelyn, the talented and dedicated individual who oversees our clothing collection made in Guatemala. Over the past two years, Evelyn has not only become an indispensable part of our team but also a symbol of resilience and passion.

A Journey Born from Childhood Dreams

Evelyn’s journey into the world of clothing production is as inspiring as the beautiful garments she creates. From a young age, she was captivated by the art of sewing, a passion kindled by her mother when she was just 9 years old. Evelyn recounts, "The dream began in my backyard when my mother taught me to sew by hand. She gave me clothes she no longer used, and I saved up to buy a plastic doll. I spent hours making dresses, and together with my friend Naty, who had original Barbie dolls, I made clothes for her dolls and sold them at school. I have always loved this art."

Her formal journey in the industry began when her youngest daughter was 2 years old. Evelyn wanted to dress her in beautiful, handmade dresses. Although she knew the basics, it wasn't until 2008 that she decided to turn her passion into a profession.

A Message to Our Valued Customers

Evelyn’s dedication to her craft is evident in every piece she creates. Her message to those who wear her creations is heartfelt and profound: "The garments are not just clothes; they are part of our identity. Fashion is not just what you see in magazines and big stores; it is also the reconstruction of a culture. It is an art, and with every garment made by my hands comes passion, dedication, love, and the detail of an artisanal piece, with the intention that each garment be unique and special, just like the person who will wear it."

Overcoming Challenges with Grace

Balancing her career, motherhood, and education, Evelyn has faced numerous challenges head-on. One of the biggest hurdles has been gaining recognition for handmade garments in a world dominated by fast fashion. She explains, "Balancing my passion with being a mother and a professional, getting people to believe in a handmade garment rather than a manufactured one, and facing fast fashion, which has a greater impact than garments made in a small sewing workshop, have been significant challenges."

Evelyn’s perseverance and love for her craft have helped her overcome these obstacles. "I have overcome every situation with willpower and love for what I do, knowing that God does not abandon those who strive to improve themselves. I have also made solid alliances with people who trust me to carry out their projects. It becomes a team effort because doing it alone is a bit more complicated. Most importantly, I believe that opportunities have a reason for being," she shares.

Celebrating the Art of Sewing

To Evelyn, sewing is far more than just cutting and stitching fabric. It’s about understanding the material, treating it with care, and transforming ideas into tangible, unique creations. She emphasizes, "Sewing is not just about cutting and stitching; it is much more than that. It is about knowing the fabric, treating it with care, and bringing an idea to life in a way that is unique, just like each body is entirely different, and making it functional for each person."

Evelyn’s story is a testament to the power of dreams, dedication, and the beauty of artisanal craftsmanship. At AMANSH, we are incredibly proud to have her leading our Guatemalan collection, infusing each piece with her passion and expertise. Her journey inspires us all and enriches the soul of our brand.
